Marseille Blue Wedding
The color blue is a very versatile and powerful color that can bring so much to an event, and in this shoot we wanted to highlight the stunning color of the year, Marseille Bleu. We put together an outdoor reception under the Candelight Pavilion at The Venue at Lilly Lou’s The Pines. The vision was a vineyard-inspired wedding, with just hints of the blue.
To bring in that color, we incorporated blue mixed china set on wooden chargers. We complemented it with a table filled with candles, simple white roses, and greenery to create a romantic atmosphere that could draw more focus to the Marseille Bleu.
We also included a mix of blue glassware and modern gold flatware to elevate the table settings and continue with a timeless and modern vibe. Including this beautiful color doesn’t need to be over the top, it can be implemented in a simplistic way that can still be truly breathtaking.
Marseille Bleu: The Color of the Year
Marseille Bleu is an incredibly beautiful color that was named after a coastal French city, and is where the artist Yves Kelin created the shade based on the color of the sky. It is a lively shade of blue that can be fitting for so many occasions. You can use this color to create an elegant and formal event, or you can use it to create a more fun and casual vibe.
It can give off a summer or winter feel, can be masculine or feminine, or can come off as modern or classic. It’s a very versatile color that can fit into a wide variety of themes and styles. It can be a primary shade for your wedding, or it can be used as an accent color to some more neutral and softer colors.
This means it could be used in your florals, as a peep of color under your dress, or as table linens. Marseille Bleu is very adaptable with so many possibilities in how you can incorporate it!
